Summarization:
So far in the book, there is a very rich and known man named Willie Bodega. Everyone in the in neighborhood of Salem Harlem has connections with Bodega by either working for him, helping him out in way, or Bodega has helped them out by giving them places to live and helping with money and family. Chino is married to Blanca, which is pregnant, and they both are attending college. Chino is just starting to work for Bodega, which his best friend Sapo works for too. I find out that Bodega gets all of his money by selling drugs to people in the community. Bodegas dream is to help out with the community by owning apartments and building and giving familes a place to live, but his biggest dream is to marry the women he loves, Vera.
Feelings:
I really feel like this book is an eye catcher for me. Everytime I start reading new chapter, something will always draw me in to continue to read more. I like this book because it is very interesting and I feel like this is something that occurs in our world today. Many people can probably relate to this book based on how the deal drugs and the relatioships status between people.
Connections:
Since Bodega Dreams has a lot of detail about Willie Bodega and how he is wealthy and is in search of his love Vera, I can connect this book to The Great Gatsby because they both have the same events occuring. In both stories you can relate how it's about a wealthy man, how they both want something important, and the relationships between the characters can relate.
Questions:
I dont really have any questions just waiting to see how it's going to turn out in the end, and if Bodega is really going to be able to get with Vera or if Chino and Blanca's relationship will work out til the end?
