Quote- "It was basic, simple street politics: you want something from me then you better have something I need."

1. Quote: The reason why I choose this quote because I feel as though this is the "beginning to the end of the book." It seems like the book would basically have no point if Chino didn't join with Bodega, and even though he didn't specifically say he was going to; he basically implied it. This is when the story is going to start to build because it set in that Chino has to take care of his wife, baby, and pay for school.
2. Summary: So far the man character Chino got married to his childhood friend Blanca, and went on into college. While Chino wants to have a regular life, Sapo (Chino's favorite childhood friend) stayed on the wrong track and started selling drugs for a man named Bodega. Bodega heard about Chino from Sapo and now he wants him to join, so even though Blanca doesn't want him to be apart of it; but instead Chino thinks about the benefits.
3. Feeling: I really like the book so far because I feel as though I'm really behind Chino's eyes. The book doesn't stop having interesting things, and they events are not too over dramatic. I like how the story unwraps because the pace of things is really good.
4. Connections: I can connect Bodega Breams to The Great Gatsby, because the story line. Bodega worked his way up because of a girl, and so did Gatsby. There are so many other ways to look at this, and I'm finding more and more ways as I read the book.
5. Questions: I don't have any questions, I am just enjoying the book.! :)
